Throughout August - September- and October my life has been a bit - A LOT - chaotic. I have been so lucky to be extremely busy with work, remodeling our first home, and traveling to dream places with my husband. So get ready because you will see a couple of more posts like this one of my travels lately.
This last year has been a very extremely challenging year, I have losy a lot of very important people in my life and even though I feel their loss every day, it has also given me a very different perspective in life. I have been thinking a lot about what happiness really means to me and to the ones around me, to live day by day, to be FULLY PRESENT and stop being worried about things that don't really matter in this life, but start taking care of the ones that truly matter.
I believe there is nothing more important on this earth than family and friends. They are EVERYTHING.
This trip was out of this world, we backpacked in Yellowstone with our friends from Virginia and it was the most amazing - EXHAUSTING - camping trip ever! ( I mean, I lost 7 pounds in a week ) Carrying my camera equipment through all those miles with rain, hail and sun was a total challenge but as I scroll through photos today, I am so happy I decided to brave it out and bring my photo equipment with me. Of course, I am saying that now because I am not carrying 40 pounds on my tiny body.
Everything around me was breathtaking; the views, the laughs, the talks, the snacks, camping on the lake shore, camping in the middle of a meadow, finding deer, bison, beavers, a bear, bluebirds, a pheasant, a bald eagle and an elk. I close my eyes and I think about being with my husband inside the tent at night and listening to the water hitting the shore and him whispering "I love you". Everything about this trip reminds me that it is all about the little things in life that matter.
Hope you enjoy the series of photographs and that you feel inspired to bring a camera - no matter how big or small it is- on your next trip and document the beautiful and unique moments you share with the people that matter the most to you! Life is beautiful. Life is so good.
